About FastMetal

FastMetal.ai is an LLM inference gateway that provides access to models from multiple providers through a single API. It uses a prepaid credits model — you purchase credits and pay per token with no subscriptions or monthly fees.

Using FastMetal with TextClaw

To use FastMetal models, bring your own API key and select FastMetal as your provider in the model settings. TextClaw will fetch the models available on your account so you can pick the one you want. Requires a Pro or Max plan.

Getting a FastMetal API key

  1. Go to fastmetal.ai and create an account.
  2. Purchase credits from the pricing page.
  3. Generate an API key from your FastMetal dashboard. The key is only shown once, so save it.
  4. In your TextClaw dashboard, go to Settings, switch to Bring Your Own Key, select FastMetal, and enter your key.
  5. Click Load Models, select a model, and save.
