About Anthropic

Anthropic is the creator of the Claude model family. With a Bring Your Own Key setup, you can connect your Anthropic API key to TextClaw and use any Claude model available on your account.

Using Anthropic with TextClaw

To use Claude models directly, bring your own API key and select Anthropic as your provider in the model settings. TextClaw will fetch the models available on your account so you can pick the one you want. Requires a Pro or Max plan.

Getting an Anthropic API key

  1. Go to console.anthropic.com/settings/keys and sign in to your Anthropic account.
  2. Click Create Key.
  3. Copy the key — it is only shown once.
  4. In your TextClaw dashboard, go to Settings, switch to Bring Your Own Key, select Anthropic, and enter your key.
  5. Click Load Models, select a model, and save.

Anthropic charges per token on a pay-as-you-go basis. Pricing varies by model — see the Anthropic pricing page for current rates.
